Fulham are in advanced negotiations to sign Austrian centre-back David Affengruber from Elche, with talks described as progressing well ahead of the transfer deadline. The reported fee of around 10 million euros would represent roughly half of his estimated 20 million euro market value, partly due to his contract running until June 2027. The 25-year-old defender joined Elche on a free transfer in August 2024 after three seasons at Sturm Graz and became a key figure in their promotion to La Liga. Southampton, Crystal Palace, Manchester United, and Juventus have also reportedly shown interest in the Austrian international.
