Manchester United fails to offload Joshua Zirkzee and Marcus Rashford before the transfer window closes. The English club paid £36.5m to sign Zirkzee in 2024, but the Dutch striker has scored only 9 goals in 75 appearances across all competitions. Fiorentina emerged as the main suitor for Zirkzee with a loan offer including an option to buy for around £4.2m, but talks collapsed. United also failed to sell Rashford despite his productive loan spell at Barcelona where he scored 14 goals. The club refuses to loan Rashford again and wants a permanent sale, but no buyer has met their asking price.
