The Trump family’s crypto project, World Liberty Financial, has received a preliminary banking license in the United States to launch a bank designed to issue and manage the USD1 stablecoin. The brother of the UAE president, Tahnoon bin Zayed al Nahyan, holds 49 % of the company overseeing these activities through an entity backed by him, versus 38 % for the Trump family. Tahnoon invested 500 million dollars in World Liberty Financial, of which 263 million dollars are reported to have been transferred to entities linked to the Trump family. This move comes as the Trump administration authorized the sale of AI chips to G42, a company also controlled by Tahnoon, raising concerns over a potential conflict of interest and risk to US national security.
