Revolut has begun rolling out its first stablecoin, the euro-pegged EURR token, to selected customers in Denmark, Poland and Portugal. Issued by Bridge Building S.A., a Luxembourg-based entity owned by Stripe, the token will be integrated into Revolut’s retail app and be transferable to external wallets across multiple blockchains. The rollout will expand to other European Economic Area markets later this year, subject to operational and regulatory readiness. The launch comes as Revolut withdraws Tether’s USDT from the EEA and Switzerland, with remaining USDT balances to be converted into customers’ base currencies after August 31. EURR represents the first step in a broader stablecoin strategy as Revolut develops tokens denominated in other currencies through separate regulatory pathways.
