Revolut announces launch of its first euro-denominated stablecoin (EURR)

Revolut, the British fintech with over 80 million clients worldwide, launched the progressive deployment of its first euro-pegged stablecoin, EURR, on August 26. Issued by Bridge (a Stripe subsidiary), the token will initially be available to eligible customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal, before expanding to other European Economic Area countries by the end of the year. The goal is to enable users to switch directly between euro and cryptocurrencies on-chain, eliminating hidden fees and currency exchange frictions. Revolut also plans to develop other stablecoins denominated in various currencies.
