BitBox released a firmware update fixing two severe vulnerabilities that could have allowed malicious firmware installation or Bitcoin being locked to unintended addresses. The first memory corruption flaw affected Multi editions of BitBox02 and BitBox02 Nova not configured with a wallet. The second impacted Silent Payments implementation. BitBox reported no exploitation or fund losses. This disclosure follows a similar Coldcard flaw linked to over 112 million dollars in Bitcoin thefts.
