Uber reported second quarter 2026 earnings with record gross bookings of $58.02 billion, a 24% year-over-year increase that surpassed Wall Street consensus by roughly one billion dollars. Revenue came in at $14.19 billion, slightly below the $14.24 billion expected due to an accounting change related to UK operations. Adjusted EPS guidance for Q3 between 84 and 88 cents missed the 89 cents analysts were looking for. Despite 8 million trips by tourists during the FIFA World Cup and record first-time user additions in five years, shares fell nearly 3% in premarket trading. Uber has committed over $10 billion to autonomous vehicles and submitted a $14.8 billion bid to acquire Delivery Hero.
