Galaxy Digital shares fall 4% as Q2 revenue misses estimates

Galaxy Digital reported second quarter 2025 earnings on August 5, missing revenue estimates despite solid profitability, sending shares down roughly 4% in premarket trading. The firm’s digital asset trading volumes fell 22% quarter-over-quarter, outperforming the broader market where spot volumes dropped around 30%. Galaxy posted net income of $30.7 million and adjusted EBITDA of $211 million for the quarter. The balance sheet holds 17,102 bitcoins, $1.27 billion in net digital assets, and $1.2 billion in cash and stablecoins. After quarter close, Galaxy facilitated the sale of more than 80,000 bitcoins on behalf of a client.
