Taiwan will require crypto platforms to transmit user personal information for all domestic platform-to-platform transfers starting in October. The Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) will apply the Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) Travel Rule without a minimum threshold, with enhanced requirements for transfers exceeding 30,000 New Taiwan dollars (approximately $930). Destination platforms will need to verify beneficiary information. Extension to cross-border transfers is planned by end of 2027. The FSC will soon launch a 30-day public consultation.
