Cloudflare launched Cloudflare Wallets, giving AI agents running on its network a stablecoin balance and a human-readable name to present when paying merchants. The product splits into two wallet types: Account Wallets belonging to human owners for funding and spending delegation, and Virtual Wallets operated by API key for individual agents with limits set by the account owner. Cloudflare’s x402 protocol has settled 160.6 million transactions worth $41.2 million across seven chains, averaging about 26 cents per transaction. The company also opened cloudflare.pay for human-readable handles, but details on supported chains, fees, custody arrangements and onramp or offramp partners remain undisclosed. Handle reservations are live today, with funding and onboarding due in the coming months.
