The legislation, currently stalled in the Senate, has faced opposition primarily from the banking industry. Diamond argues the bill would actually benefit major banks, pointing to substantial investments from JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and Bank of New York in blockchain finance. He highlights blockchain technology’s advantages, including around-the-clock trading, instantaneous transaction settlement, and enhanced transparency.
