U.S. Treasury yields rose on Tuesday as renewed Middle East tensions drove global government borrowing costs to their highest level since early last year. The 10-year Treasury note yield gained more than 2 basis points to 4.784%, its highest since January 14, 2025, while the 30-year yield stood at 5.271%. This escalation followed fresh U.S. strikes against Iran and a tanker being struck off the coast of Oman in the Strait of Hormuz, pushing oil prices higher to $87.04 per barrel for WTI and $91.71 for Brent crude.
