Vizorwallet has successfully signed a shielded ZEC transaction on a Ledger hardware wallet, marking a major milestone for users seeking both privacy and cold storage capabilities. Ledger has launched a standalone Zcash Shielded app for Nano S Plus, Stax, and Flex devices, enabling users to keep private keys offline while using shielded transaction features. The integration supports Zcash’s Orchard and Sapling shielded protocols, which use zero-knowledge proofs to encrypt transaction details. Approximately 26% of ZEC’s total supply currently sits in shielded pools. Vizorwallet, built by the team behind the popular Keplr wallet, now gives users an additional hardware wallet option to secure their shielded ZEC.
