Zcash Crossed $1,000 for the First Time in Nearly a Decade. 3 Whales Wish It Hadn’t

Zcash crossed $1,000 last week for the first time in nearly a decade, gaining 120% in the past month alone to trade around $1,124. Three whales holding short positions on ZEC show approximately $39 million in combined unrealized losses, including $21.94 million for trader Garrett Jin alone. The privacy sector is the only sector still above its October level, up 213% with market cap growing from $7.1 billion to $33.6 billion. Zcash accounts for 62% of this sector and has surged 2,496% over twelve months, while Grayscale’s Zcash ETF has gathered $463 million since launch.
