Coinbase has given retail customers in the European Economic Area until October 30 to withdraw or transfer USDT and 13 other stablecoins. The restriction follows the end, on July 1, 2026, of MiCA’s transitional period, which was not extended. Separately, the Central Bank of Ireland recently fined Coinbase Ireland by €3.25 million for shortcomings concerning the segregation of customer funds.
