XRP experienced one of its biggest short-term corrections, falling roughly 12.2% within hours after the U.S. Senate rejected the Clarity Act with a 49-50 vote, falling well short of the 60 votes needed to advance the bill. XRP’s price dropped from around $1.45 to $1.27 before slightly recovering to approximately $1.29. The $1.35 region that had served as support in September has now become a major technical resistance level. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse described the result as painful but argued that crypto’s development does not depend entirely on this bill. Stuart Alderoty, Ripple’s CLO, emphasized that the vote has no effect on XRP’s current legal status in the United States.
