David Schwartz, one of the original architects of the XRP Ledger and Ripple’s CTO Emeritus, shared a photograph from New York of the Demo Day held ahead of the Swell 2026 conference. On October 26, 12 selected startups presented their projects for approximately three minutes each in areas including tokenization, decentralized finance, stablecoin payments and blockchain-based lending. Featured companies include BlockVault, which is developing financial infrastructure for XRP holders, and RiskX, which focuses on structured yield strategies involving XRP and the RLUSD stablecoin. The main conference will run from October 27 to 29 at The Shed in Manhattan, with more than 1,500 attendees, over 100 speakers and nearly 80 sessions expected, including Brad Garlinghouse, Tom Farley and Matt Damon.
