Wallet provider DCENT Wallet detected abnormal asset transfers involving its mobile application and is conducting an urgent investigation. The issue appears limited to the App Wallet, the software-based mobile wallet, with hardware wallets not affected. DCENT, developed by South Korean company IoTrust and supporting XRP among many other cryptocurrencies, strongly recommends that users transfer their assets to a secure hardware wallet or another trusted address. Users must also update the app to the latest version before any operations and remain vigilant against phishing attempts and impersonation scams.
