Three men aged 30 to 37 were sentenced to five to six years in prison by Bristol Crown Court for aggravated burglary committed on May 15, 2026. They broke into a resident’s home at night to force him to transfer his cryptocurrencies and struck him on the head. No transfer occurred thanks to the victim’s teenage sister, who alerted the police and enabled the immediate arrest of the three intruders on the scene. Chainalysis recorded 46 physical attacks against cryptocurrency holders worldwide in the first half of 2026, with proceeds exceeding 30 million dollars, with France as the European epicenter (30 public incidents by mid-year).
