Wren House Infrastructure Management, the infrastructure investment arm of Kuwait’s sovereign wealth fund, is in advanced talks to acquire GIC’s stake in a European data center joint venture. This deal is part of Wren House’s aggressive expansion strategy, having participated in the acquisition of Aligned Data Centers in July 2026 at an enterprise value of approximately $40 billion, and having completed a joint venture with QTS Realty Trust in November 2024 covering three data centers in Northern Virginia with a combined capacity of 100 MW. Meanwhile, GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, is continuing to streamline its portfolio by divesting data center assets, having sold its stake in a Tokyo-based joint venture with Equinix for $1.2 billion. The potential transaction would give Wren House a truly transatlantic presence, combining its North American assets with European capacity.
