Workday partners with Anthropic to bring Sana AI agents into Claude

Share

Workday announced a partnership with Anthropic at its Workday Rising event on October 13, 2026 in Las Vegas. The deal introduces a beta connector called Sana from Workday, which plugs Workday’s agentic AI directly into Anthropic’s Claude model. Employees can handle routine HR and finance tasks like checking pay or requesting time off through Claude, while Workday’s existing security controls including roles, permissions, and audit controls remain in place. Workday acquired Sana Labs for $1.1 billion in November 2025. As of Q2 2026, over 5,500 Workday customers were using AI agents, representing a 35% increase from the previous quarter, and AI-driven products generated nearly $600 million in annual recurring revenue, up over 200% year over year.
