Binance founder Changpeng Zhao expects initial public offerings (IPOs) to move on-chain. His prediction lands at a point where on-chain IPOs already run on live, regulated infrastructure. Three things change for investors: access, as tokenized offerings open to retail buyers on day one; timing, as tokenized venues quote around the clock; and size, as shares divide natively into small fractions. Tokenized stocks now hold about $2.9 billion in on-chain value, up roughly 14% in a month, according to rwa.xyz, with Grayscale naming BNB Chain among the leading tokenized stock chains. US regulation does not change, however: the SEC confirmed in January that tokenizing a share does not remove registration and disclosure duties.
