The stolen amount is estimated between $150,000 and $200,000. According to Rodrigo Coelho, CEO of Edge & Node, responsibility lies with the company that deployed the agent, a principle already embedded in California law AB 316 effective since January. Experts recommend using cryptographically signed mandates, separating private keys (agent proposes, separate system decides), and programmatic transaction limits to prevent abuse. A Snyk study reveals that 36.82% of 3,984 public agent skills contain at least one security flaw.
