AX1, a startup ecosystem on Base, has launched AX1 Console 2.0, a launchpad where artificial intelligence agents perform paid activities rather than merely trade tokens. Its first quest, Verdict, analyzes a token’s onchain activity and trading metrics before producing a shareable verdict without making a buy or sell recommendation. Each run costs two cents, is settled in USDC through the x402 payment standard and leaves a public record on Base. Since paid quests launched on September 7, 5,669 agent wallets have paid for 605,876 x402 transactions, with 1,424 continuing after exhausting their starter credit. AX1 plans to add quests from partner applications, agent-to-agent competitions and AX1 Assay, a paid service that evaluates agents’ onchain behavior.
