Volta secures $10B partnership and $300M raise, co-led by a16z, at a $2.4B valuation

Volta Infra Holdings launched from stealth on August 4, 2026, with a $300 million raise across Seed and Series A rounds, a $10 billion strategic partnership for AI compute capacity in Norway over six years, and a $2.4 billion post-money valuation. The funding was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and Altimeter Capital, with participation from Nvidia, Michael Dell’s family office, Azora, and Matter Venture Partners. The company partnered with Bitdeer Technologies Group to build 133 MW of AI compute capacity in Norway, with Anthropic expected to be the primary end customer. Volta also secured 1 GW of near-term power capacity with expansion plans targeting Texas and Wyoming.
