Visa expands stablecoin capabilities on Visa Direct through Zero Hash collaboration

Visa is expanding the capabilities of its real-time payments network Visa Direct to support stablecoin-based prefunding, payouts, and direct wallet transfers through a partnership with Zero Hash. The Visa Direct network processes approximately $1.7 trillion in real-time transaction volume and connects over 18 billion endpoints. Zero Hash provides the backend infrastructure for stablecoin settlement and liquidity. Visa also launched the Visa Stablecoin Platform on July 16, 2026, initially supporting Open USD. These developments specifically target gig-worker payouts, creator remittances, and cross-border B2B transfers.
