Samsung Electronics America plans to add USDC transfers to Samsung Wallet in the last week of October 2026, enabling eligible U.S. users to send stablecoins from 82 million compatible Galaxy devices to international crypto wallets or bank accounts in over 60 countries. Bank recipients may receive funds in local currency without needing a crypto wallet. Samsung positions itself as a mere intermediary, not a bank, money transmitter, or digital-asset custodian. Transfers to compatible external wallets will be fee-free, while bank transfers will incur variable fees based on destination country and amount. Cross-border infrastructure is powered by Bastion, with Coinbase as sub-custodian via Coinbase Prime Vault.
