Unitree Robotics IPO draws over 2,700x oversubscription from Shanghai retail investors

Unitree Robotics, the first pure-play humanoid robot maker listed on Chinese markets, raised 6.1 billion yuan ($904 million) in its Shanghai IPO. Shares were priced at 150.8 yuan each, valuing the company at approximately 61 billion yuan ($9 billion). The offering was oversubscribed by over 2,700 times by retail investors, showing significant market appetite for the sector. The company generated 1.71 billion yuan in revenue in 2025, a 335% year-over-year increase, with over 5,500 robots shipped. The funds raised will be used to develop advanced software and hardware, launch new products, and expand manufacturing capacity.
