Grayscale’s XRP Trust sold 103.41 million XRP worth $180.78 million during the first half of 2026, reducing its holdings from 122.23 million tokens at the end of 2025 to 55.04 million by June 30. Outstanding shares plummeted from 6.30 million to 2.84 million, with the trust recording a $34.16 million realized loss on XRP sold for share redemptions. XRP is currently trading around $1.02, dangerously close to the key $1 support level after declining more than 40% from $1.84 on January 1. Despite cumulative ETF net inflows of $1.42 billion since their November 2024 launch, this massive selloff by the trust raises concerns about the level of institutional adoption for the digital asset.
