A federal court in New York sentenced Artem Aleksandrovych Stryzhak, a 36-year-old Ukrainian national, to 70 months in prison for his work as an affiliate of the Nefilim and Hive ransomware groups. Prosecutors say he joined Nefilim in June 2021 and gave the group’s administrators a 20% share of ransom proceeds. With Hive, he targeted at least seven victims, including healthcare providers and law firms. Attacks linked to the groups caused more than $100 million in overall losses, while another network member, Volodymyr Tymoshchuk, remains at large with an $11 million reward for information leading to his capture.
