At the Swell 2026 conference, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse firmly rejected rumors that the company would reduce its support for XRP in favor of the Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin. He said the two are complementary and that momentum around XRP is profound, partly thanks to the growth of RLUSD on the XRP Ledger. Ripple reached an annual run rate of $900 million in product revenue and processed transactions worth $16 trillion. OCC approval for the launch of Ripple National Trust Bank (RNTB) enabled the use of RLUSD in on-chain repo markets and listings on Coinbase, Robinhood, Binance, Kraken and OKX. Ripple also reported a threefold increase in product integrations with institutions such as BNY, HSBC, DBS and Standard Chartered, while BNY is preparing a trade-finance tokenization project on the XRP Ledger.
