Third-party AI agents booked exactly four rides on Uber in the third quarter of 2026, compared with roughly 320 million rides and Uber Eats deliveries during the same Halloween week. Uber also said these agents placed around 500 Uber Eats orders, representing approximately one order for every 640,000 trips and deliveries. Meanwhile, Uber’s gross bookings reached $59.8 billion, up more than 20% year over year, while adjusted earnings per share rose 35% to $0.88. Uber plans to have around 700 fully driverless vehicles on its network by the end of 2026 and more than 2,000 by the end of 2027, confirming that its AI efforts remain focused on autonomous driving rather than agent-driven bookings.
