It uses a 20-word backup standard via the SLIP-39 protocol, introduced by Trezor in 2019, offering Shamir functionality that allows users to split their seed into threshold shards. The device comes in multi-coin or Bitcoin-only versions and includes Bluetooth connectivity as well as a LiFePO4 battery. The manufacturer suffered a data breach through its logistics partner ShipMonk, compromising 67,000 U.S. customer records and increasing risks of targeting by criminal organizations.
