Fifty major U.S. companies have now refused to list their tokenized stocks on the joint platform of OKX and ICE, up from nine three weeks earlier. Nvidia, Nike and Costco have joined Microsoft, Alphabet, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, AMD, Intel and Walmart among the objectors. These companies are chiefly concerned about the creation of parallel prices, limited control over the platform and the absence of an order book. Of the 62 companies initially planned, only around a dozen have not yet objected, with each issuer having 30 days after notification to block its token. The joint venture remains covered by the SEC’s temporary exemption, but its launch appears increasingly unlikely, while Nasdaq is preparing an issuer-led listing model with Kraken for the second quarter of 2027.
