Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said indirect negotiations with the United States aimed at reopening the critical Strait of Hormuz have become “more serious,” with Qatari mediators expected to relay a final U.S. response to Tehran. The spokesman for Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, General Hossein Mohebbi, called on Americans to protest the conflict, claiming that only U.S. recognition of defeat would end the war.
