A hack of the D’CENT wallet drained over 12.4 million XRP from more than 7,000 wallets, making it the year’s second-largest XRP theft after Bitget’s 102.9 million XRP hack. The breach expanded to other blockchains including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Stellar, affecting users who held assets across multiple networks. IoTrust, D’CENT’s maker, confirmed at least 110 abnormal transfer reports. Approximately 6.3 million of the stolen XRP have been swapped to Ethereum’s blockchain via THORChain. D’CENT now urges users to create a fresh recovery phrase and immediately migrate all assets, including tokens, NFTs, and staked funds.
