Singapore Airlines is investing more than S$2 billion, or about $1.6 billion, in new seating, dining and onboard entertainment. From mid-2027, its long-haul Airbus A350 aircraft will feature first-class seats with 32-inch 4K screens, Bang & Olufsen noise-cancelling headphones and double-bed and face-to-face dining options. Business-class seats will include 22-inch 4K screens, wireless charging and Bluetooth audio connectivity. These improvements were initially planned for the Boeing 777-9, whose delivery has now been delayed until at least 2027 and which will not enter the airline’s fleet before the 2027-2028 financial year. The carrier also plans to equip nearly half its fleet with Starlink from the first quarter of 2027, renovate its SilverKris lounges and enhance the experience for suite and first-class passengers at Singapore Changi Airport.
