Tether has launched the Financial Access and Systemic Empowerment Foundation (FASE), a Swiss nonprofit bringing together 11 founding stakeholders, including Anchorage Digital, Bitfury, Bybit, Chainalysis, Kraken, Opera, Solana Foundation and Tether itself. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is a strategic partner but is not a founding member. FASE plans three programs focused on youth cybercrime prevention, support for human trafficking survivors and a stablecoin-based humanitarian aid pilot. Its first initiative targets up to 10 million young people in Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia, while its trafficking program covers six African countries. The pilot with Prosper Global is intended to reach approximately 1 million people and provide a real-world test of stablecoins as payment infrastructure outside trading. The foundation has not yet disclosed how it will measure outcomes, and its stated targets are potential ceilings rather than guaranteed results.
