Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said at the Plan ₿ Forum in Lugano that the company holds about 150,000 Bitcoin, worth roughly $11.5 billion at the November 3 price. Tether’s latest reserve report, released on October 30 for September 30, listed only about $8.37 billion in Bitcoin, equivalent to roughly 100,060 BTC. Nearly 50,000 Bitcoin therefore remain unexplained, as Ardoino did not specify the allocation among Tether entities or the acquisition dates. Overall, Tether reported $191.45 billion in total reserves at the end of September, including $132.4 billion in US Treasury bills, and a net surplus of $7.95 billion.
