A fire broke out in early June at TeraWulf’s Lake Mariner campus in Somerset, New York, in a building still under construction. Firefighters responded with no functioning fire alarms, no suppression system, and three non-operational hydrants. Safety data sheets identifying the chemicals producing the heavy black smoke also burned in the blaze. Fire Chief Steve Matisz said his crew went into the building « kind of blind. » No regulatory follow-ups or investigative actions have been publicly reported following the incident.
