Cross-chain protocol Symbiosis announced it recovered 15 Bitcoin, worth approximately $1.1 million, following the exploitation of its Bitcoin bridge on Friday. The attacker minted 46.1 billion unbacked tokens from the bridge, resulting in net proceeds estimated at 4.3 Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), equivalent to $336,000 according to blockchain security firm Blockaid. The protocol is now offering a 20% bounty for information leading to asset recovery, after an initial white-hat bounty offer to the attacker expired on Sunday. Total losses have not yet been disclosed by the protocol, though DefiLlama estimated the damages at approximately $336,000.
