In September, the S&P 500 fell 0.5% and the Dow lost 4.3%, while the Nasdaq gained 1.9%. The 10-year Treasury yield crossed above 5.3%, reaching its highest level since 2007, and the 30-year yield hit 5.6%, its highest since 2002. The personal consumption expenditures index rose 3.4% year over year in August, below the expected 3.7%. Investors are now awaiting the September jobs report on Friday and the Federal Reserve’s decision scheduled for late October.
