Solana’s market share in tokenized equity trading plummeted from 71% to 30% over two weeks ending around August 27, 2026, according to Blockworks. The decline was driven by the rise of hybrid memecoin-real-world-asset pairs on competing chains: the $niulai pair on BNB Chain reached a peak market cap of $77 million, while the $AI pair on Robinhood Chain hit $67 million. These new trading mechanics are siphoning speculative capital away from Solana, which had previously dominated the segment with 95% to 97% of spot trading volume in Q2 2026. Despite this drop, Solana has processed over $9.5 billion in cumulative tokenized stock volume since the xStocks protocol launched in July 2025, with 288,000 unique holders.
