SHIB Community Warned Amid Powerful iOS Spyware Exploit: What to Know

Share

Google’s Threat Intelligence team has described “DarkSword,” an exploit chain targeting iPhones running iOS 18.4 through 18.7 that could take control of the device after visiting a booby-trapped website. The associated spyware tools can steal cryptocurrency wallet data, device keychains, messages, photos, and passwords. iPhone users should install the latest available updates, including iOS 26.3 or later, activate Apple’s Lockdown Mode if necessary, and avoid suspicious links. Those who believe their wallet credentials may have been compromised should create a new wallet on a clean, updated device, transfer their funds to it, and never reuse an exposed seed phrase. Meanwhile, Binance has resumed withdrawals in phases, including SHIB withdrawals on the Ethereum network, and has warned of potential scams connected with the gradual resumption.
