Japanese vehicle exporter SAT Japan announced on October 29 that it had added a stablecoin payment channel through Triple-A for overseas buyers. Eligible customers can pay in USDT or USDC, while SAT Japan receives settlement in US dollars without holding or managing the digital assets itself. The arrangement aims to reduce uncertainty surrounding high-value cross-border transfers, including fees, processing times and intermediary deductions. Its success will depend on the number of buyers using the option, settlement speed, total cost and refund procedures. Changing the payment method does not affect the vehicle’s condition, shipping schedule or the obligations set out in the purchase agreement and import process.
