Samsung plans to introduce USDC transfers to its Samsung Wallet payment app for eligible US Galaxy users during the last week of October. Users will be able to send USDC to compatible crypto wallets internationally and transfer funds to bank accounts in over 60 countries, where recipients will receive funds in their local currency. The feature will be available on 82 million compatible Galaxy devices in the United States, but users must complete identity verification. Transfers to external crypto wallets will be free, while international bank transfers will incur fees. Bastion will provide stablecoin account and payment infrastructure, with Coinbase serving as sub-custodian through Coinbase Prime Vault.
