Salesforce shares surged more than 20% Thursday after beating second-quarter earnings and announcing an expanded partnership with AI startup Anthropic. The company posted revenue of $11.35 billion, slightly ahead of the $11.32 billion expected by analysts, up 11% year-over-year. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $5.90, well above estimates of $3.27, while net income jumped 87% to $3.53 billion. The performance also lifted other software names such as Adobe, Palantir, ServiceNow, Autodesk and Figma, with the iShares Extended Tech-Software ETF climbing roughly 5%.
