Roundhill Investments launched the Roundhill Photonics & Optics ETF, trading under the ticker LYTE, which generated 72 million dollars in trading volume on its first day of trading on August 6, 2026. This amount exceeded the first-day volume of Roundhill’s own Memory ETF (DRAM), which has become one of the most successful thematic ETF launches in recent history with 25 billion dollars in assets under management. The LYTE fund holds only 12 positions concentrated in photonics and optics, including lasers, fiber optic components and optical networking equipment for AI data centers, with an expense ratio of 0.65%. It is the second specialized photonics fund after Tema’s LAZR launched on June 30, 2026, and Roundhill’s third AI infrastructure ETF in approximately four months.
