Munich-based robotics startup RobCo has reached a valuation above $1 billion following a $40 million secondary share sale completed on October 5, 2026. Its valuation doubled in approximately nine months, rising from $500 million in January 2026 to over $1 billion. Most of the funds came from employee share sales to new investors including Cherry Ventures and European Tech Collective, as well as existing investors Sequoia and Lightspeed. The company operates in industrial automation and has deployed more than 1,000 robots to industrial clients, including BMW. The robotics and physical AI sector raised $33.4 billion in the first half of 2026, already exceeding total funding for all of 2025.
