Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse appeared alongside U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent at Ripple’s Swell 2026 conference in New York. Bessent, a strong advocate for clear digital-asset rules who has urged Congress to advance the CLARITY Act, joined the event shortly before it began. The meeting follows final approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for Ripple to establish Ripple National Trust Bank and the expansion of Ripple’s partnerships with BNY and Robinhood. The three-day conference, held from October 27 to 29 at The Shed in Manhattan, is expected to attract more than 1,500 participants and feature over 100 speakers. Matt Damon and Gary White, co-founders of Water.org, will appear alongside Tom Farley, the former president of the New York Stock Exchange and current CEO of Bullish.
